Kangana Ranaut delighted at Femina Miss India 2009

Kangana Ranaut flaunted her perfect figure in a yellow lehanga choli at Femina Miss India at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai on Sunday, April 5. Kangana's revealing dance outfit consisted of heavily sequined ankle length low slung lehenga, matching short choli with plunging neckline, and a dupatta secured at the waist under a sparkling silver belt.
She accessorized with silver belle flats and showy jewels that included chunky tikka on her forehead, loop earrings, bib necklace, yellow and silver bangles in both her arms and anklets. Her hair was neatly pulled back and tied at the back, adorned with fresh flowers. The Himachal beauty kept her makeup light, letting her natural peaches and cream complexion be the focus.

The 23-year-old Fashion star's performance was a tribute to Bollywood divas Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai. She performed on Madhuri’s Mera piya ghar aaya and Aishwarya’s Nimbooda.

Others performing at the show included Genelia D'Souza and Ex-Miss India Priyanka Chopra. The acts were choreographed by Shiamak Davar.

The event was co-hosted by Malaika Arora Khan and R. Madhavan.

Judges for the pageant included Madhur Bhandarkar, Ajay Devgan, Sushmita Sen, Asin, Deepika Padukone; fashion designer Nandita Mahtani, IGM managing director Ravi Krishnan, fashion magazine editor Mickey Bourdman, and Lakme advisor Anil Chopra.

Twenty-two year old Delhite Ekta Chaudhary was named Femina Miss India 2009. Pooja Chopra from Pune and Shriya Kishore from Mumbai were the runners up.
