Kangana Ranaut Rocks Runway at Spice Entertainment Event

Kangana Ranaut strutted her stuff at Suneet Verma's fashion show at the launch of Spice Entertainment, a new venture of the Spice group, at Hotel Trident, Mumbai on Saturday, May 30.

Also attending the show was Spice mobile ambassador Katrina Kaif.

Kangana strode the ramp as show stopper in a white lenhenga choli with floral embroidery in pastel shades and crystal embellishments.

The low slung lehenga was paired with an asymmetrical mini top featuring cap sleeves and bateau neckline and matching dupatta draped over her head. She accessorized with gold pearl drop earrings and matching forehead jewel, and wore smoky eye makeup and pale pink lipstick.

The 22-year-old Himachali lass, who continues with her modeling career despite having transitioned to Bollywood, said Suneet Verma is her favorite designer and she liked all the dresses presented on the show. He styled her for her upcoming film Kites, starring Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori.

Kangana recently debunked rumors of having shot nude scenes for her under production Telugu film, Ek Niranjan.

"Nude? I'd never do a nude scene in my entire life even if someone makes me to do it at gunpoint. I come from a very conservative background," she said.

Kangana says she is an avid reader but regrets that she will never be able to write a book because of her language handicap.

“I studied in the Hindi medium and don’t think I have the power of expression to write in English. Even when I go back to what I have written in my diary I find it lacking in emotion. Also, having moved from Himachal to Delhi to Mumbai, my language is now so confused that I keep forgetting how to say things,” she says.

Besides Kites, Kangana’s upcoming films include Vaada Raha directed by Sameer Karnik with co-stars Bobby Deol, Atul Agnihotri and Dwij Yadav.

Video: Kangana Ranaut Launching Joy Aluukas

This is video of Kangana launching the new store for Joy Aluukas.

Kangana Ranaut at Joy Allukas Jewelry Party

Kangana Ranaut had recently attended a function for Joy Allukas which is a jewelry brand that she endorses. She was looking really nice and these are some of the pictures of her at the party.

"No Problem" begin shooting on June

Recession or no recession... the show must go on. Or so believes director Anees Bazmee, who is on a roll after multiple back to back hits.

The director is all set to start shooting for his next comic caper titled No Problem from June onwards.

Talking about his projects to Businessofcinema.com, Bazmee said, "I have finished shooting It's My Life with Hurman Baweja and Amrita Rao and now the film is under post production. Once I complete that, I will start shooting my next film for Spice and Anil Kapoor Productions called No Problem."

The casting for this film is complete. Sushmita Sen and Kangana Ranaut will be muses to Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna, while old favourite Paresh Rawal will be there to give ample comic relief.

The film will be shot in the now exhausted locales of South Africa. With almost every second film being picturised in the Rainbow Nation, there will be a huge cluster of films all looking alike. However, Bazmee said, "I will first go and do my location scouting. Once I have zeroed in on my locations that will suit my script, I will then ensure that it has not been exposed to Indian audiences. There should be novelty in story and location for audiences to visit the theatres for our films."

Kangana Ready To Foray Into Telugu Films

Kangna Ranaut is far more relaxed these days — completes her shot and heads to the green room to snatch some rest. She’s busy shooting for the film “Ek Niranjan”. Like all Bollywood actresses, she’s now giving the south ern movie scene a shot. “Ek Niranjan” is her first Telugu film, directed by Puri Jagannath. Prabhas is her co-star. But Kangna is not entirely new to the South.

She had earlier worked in “Dhaam Dhoom”, a Tamil film directed by the late Jeeva. It was a big success but Kangna didn’t return for a long time. She says Puri Jagannath was supposed to launch her in “Pokiri” but she was offered “Gangster” around the same time and had to let go of the Telugu film.

“After ‘Dhaam Dhoom’, I got many offers but was busy in Mumbai. Because of the recession my film was delayed. After ‘Pokiri’, I was in constant touch with Jagan sir. We had been discussing stories and this one finally materialised. I like working in the South. We have great technicians, scripts and talented directors here.”

She has six films to her credit and all fairly good projects.

Talking about the difference between Bollywood and the Southern film industry, she says, “In Mumbai, people don’t write scripts for the heroes or heroines. One has to fit into the character, unlike in the South, where they are treated like gods, and where subjects are tailored to suit the hero or heroine’s image. But there is not much difference with regard to movie-making; it’s just the difference in culture. Also, I notice that here making a movie sans a song or dance is next to impossible.”

Does she watch all her movies? “No, I’m not obsessed with myself. Not just my films, I don’t watch too many films either. I love to read if I get time.” Kangna has become very selective about her work after “Metro”. Before “Fashion”, she says she rejected 25 movies. She adds: “Madhur’s magic was so real, I needed to keep up the good work. Money has never been important to me. Being part of an exciting project gives me a high.”

The actress is not too keen on speaking to the media and is upset with the websites writing unfairly about her.

“A lot has been written about me. Some tabloids in Mumbai wrote that I am 32 years old and have two kids. The world has become small, the websites pick up these news bits and the word spreads. They should let us be,” she sighs.

Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranat Walk Red Carpet

We have heard enough about Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori together. Now, for a change it’s going to be Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik.

On Kangana’s insistence or otherwise, at the IIFA awards in June, Hrithik and Kangana, co-stars of “Kites”, will be waking the red carpet along with producer Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu.

It seems Kangana was very upset at not been invited to Cannes, where Hrithik, Barbara and Rakesh Roshan walked the red carpet and attended a promotional event for “Kites”.

Till now Kangana, who is said to have a pivotal role in the movie, has been missing from all publicity of “Kites”.

To pacify her, the Roshans are keepting Barbara at a distance and taking Kangana to Macau, where the IIFA awards are being held.

Wonder what has been told to Barbara now, to pacify her?

Kabir Bedi's Character in "Kites"

AS the hype around the Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori-starrer Kites reaches dizzying heights, Kabir Bedi makes a quiet comeback as Kangna Ranaut’s dad Kabir Bedi
in the film. But he hasn’t visited Cannes to sell the film to international buyers. “Only Hrithik and Barbara from the cast have gone there. It’s more a sales visit. I would’ve loved to go, but it’s something I’d prefer to do on my own steam as it’s Hrithik’s film,” explains Kabir, who returned to India in November.
Prior to that, he was in Italy for a year-and-a-half shooting for a televised series. “When I returned, I wanted to do Bollywood films. It’s important now that I do films in India as I’ve done enough work in Italy. It lets people know that I’ve made a comeback and for good. My heart was always in India. The long periods of staying abroad and constant travelling got to me,” maintains Kabir.

In Kites, he plays the owner of a Las Vegas casino. “He’s a powerful person, flamboyant and almost loud in his choice of clothes. My portion has been entirely shot in Las Vegas. Kangna’s my daughter in the film, with whom Hrithik falls in love. I’m a very uncool dad and have animosity towards my daughter’s lover,” states Kabir.

But isn’t Hrithik supposed to be in love with Barbara Mori in the film? “There are many shades to the story. He falls in love with one, and pretends to fall in love with the other,” he explains. As for the couple’s off-screen romance that’s occupied ample media space, Kabir says, “Nobody asked me, I don’t know what the truth is. As co-stars, they seemed to have gotten along well, and that’s how it should be.”

Kabir’s confident that Kites will make waves. “Kites is a powerful story, very different from run-of-the-mill Bollywood films,” he says, adding, “Anurag is an extraordinary director. And it’s always a special joy to work with Hrithik as I have known him since he was a little boy. I have seen him on the sets of Khun Bhari Maang. I even share screen space with Barbara, but the interaction is non-verbal.”

He’ll also be seen in a small but pivotal role in Blue, and as part of a gang of rogues who con greedy people in Showman. “Now, we have some amazing young directors like Anurag in India, who, with time, will make some good international projects. What’s lacking here, however, is the ability to put together good, strong stories. Some real deep thinking should be involved as far as the story is concerned,” maintains Bedi.

Bedi himself feels deeply about the volatile situation in Burma, a country he spent part of his childhood in. He’s the official ambassador of the Burma Campaign in the UK. “I was there before the dictatorship took over. The Burmese are peace-loving and don’t revolt much. Democracy should return to Burma. They have my entire support,” shares Kabir.

Abhishek Kapoor turns down "Once Upon A Time in Mumbai"

Ekta Kapoor's Once Upon A Time In Mumbai starring Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai will soon be ready to roll — but one actor who won't be part of it will be Ekta's cousin actor-director Abhishek (Gattu) Kapoor. Gattu (director of last year's Rock On) was last seen in Shikaar.

Ekta was keen that Abhishek play the police officer who sets out to arrest the underworld dons (played by Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi). The source reveals, "Gattu, Ekta and Milan Luthria (director) met a few times. Things were almost working out till Gattu named his price."

Gattu is hesitant to talk about the role offered to hims, "I do get many acting offers but it would unfair of me to disclose the details. My priorities are very clear. Right now, I am only focusing on direction but if something good comes (in the way of roles), I might accept it. But I won't do anything on a lark."
The director believes cousin Ekta isn't upset that he isn't doing her film, "Ekta knows if she really wants me in any of her films she just has to call me and ask.

Gattu denies that money was the issue, "It's all depends on what is the part and how you offer it. It's various permutations and combinations. I would love to work with Tusshar and Ekta too in the future but the opportunity has to be bigger and larger if we are all coming together in one film."

Another source says, "After the narration, he refused the role, as he wasn't happy with it. Also he wanted us to complete his portions by July-August because of his directorial commitments and we couldn't, so it didn't work out."

Is Kangana In "Kites"

There have been rumors that Kangana Ranaut has been distanced away from "Kites" due to the fact that she is not included in the film's plot and she did not attend the Cannes, but Rakesh Roshan denies the allegations. "There is nothing like that. We have not started the publicity of the film as yet. When we do, she will get her due credit. She is very much a part of the film" he said. When the promo of Krrish was unveiled, it had only Hrithik, does that mean Priyanka was sidelined from the film? "No," he says.

Rumour mills suggest that the Roshans may have sidelined Kangana as they would rather promote the film with the hype around Hrithik and Barbara. There were reports that Kangana threw tantrums on the sets, so could this be payback? A source close to Kangana says that she has not been able to participate in the initial promotions because of professional commitments.

"Kangana is shooting for Ek Niranjan in Hyderabad and thus could not go to Cannes," adds the source. However, Rakesh Roshan has a different reasoning.

He says that the focus is on Hrithik and Barbara because they are the lead couple. "Kites is ultimately Hrithik and Barbara's love story".

"Kangana Did Great" says Rakesh

A Juhu birdie chirps to say that after working with Hrithik Roshan in Kites, Kangana Ranaut has been at the receiving end... of praise. A source close to Hrithik reveals, "Roshan is impressed with her work and has been speaking highly about the actress.

Lately, he was heard saying that Kangana would aptly suit the role in Imtiaz Ali's next opposite him.

Although he hasn't spoken to the director formally, he is keen on having her." Kangs has got the Adonis eating out her hands!

Kangana Ranaut at IIFA Awards

This year too, it will be no different. The presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutt and producer-director Subhash Ghai amongst others promises to make the Videocon Iifa Weekend 2009 special.

Keeping the last year's trend alive, this year too Ritieish Deshmukh and Boman Irani are all set to play hosts to the Idea Iifa Awards and tickle the funny bones with their antics. The 10th Idea Iifa Awards promises some electrifying on-stage performances with Sonam Kapoor making her debut and Kareena Kapoor's mesmerising performance. John Terry and Frank Lampard will also grace the occasion.

The Videocon Iifa Weekend will be viewed by 600 million people globally and is expected to pull in thousands of visitors across the world during this three-day event.

The event will start on 11 June, while the prestigious Idea Iifa Awards will be given to the best in the Indian Cinema at a star-studded extravaganza on 13 June.

Adhyayan Suman Speaks

While everyone is speculating about Kangna Ranaut’s boyfriend cheating on her while she is busy shooting in Hyderabad, the fact is that Adhyayan Adhyayan Suman is actually playing the ideal boyfriend in her absence. Not only does he visit her house everyday to look after the well-being of the pup they share, he also looks after the mundane affairs of her home.

Recently, residents of her Pali Naka building were surprised to see two regular width gates being replaced by much wider ones. Turned out this became necessary because now that Kangna was to own a BMW the normal gates would not suffice. But they needed to be checked out and what do you know. Adhyayan gracefully drove his BMW in and out of the gates to check they were of the required width.

Meanwhile Kangna Ranaut’s curly and wavy hair will soon be a thing of the past. Kangna has decided to cut and straighten her hair and acquire a fringe for Annes Bazmee’s No Problem.

A friend of Kangna says that, “Initially, Kangna was apprehensive and concerned whether her new look would suit her. However, once she made up her mind that she would experiment with it, there was no stopping her.”

Kangna, who has a natural style confirmed this and added, “I needed a chick hairstyle. I have a big forehead and the fringe will make my face look proportionate.”

Kangna who plays Sushmita’s younger sister in the film will also be seen in some stylish beach wear.

EXCLUSIVE: New Scene from "Kites"

New Stills for "Kites"

Hrithik Roshan Talks About "Kites"

Hrithik and Barbara Walk Red Carpet for "Bright Star"

Hrithik and Barbara aren’t walking the Red Carpet for Kites at Cannes, despite the English version of the film being officially unveiled there. Instead, they’re doing this for director Jane Campion’s film titled Bright Star that’s in contention for the Palme d’Or award at the festival.
(Above: Pic of them in the premiere of "Bright Star")

Adhyayan and Kangana TOGETHER

Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman are EXTREMELY amused at the reports of their break up have been doing the rounds lately through many Mumbai tabloids. Having been together for almost a year now Kangana and Adhyayan are all set out to celebrate their togetherness very soon. Kangana is also miffed with the reports of her linking to Kintaro (Barbara Mori’s brother) too. She claims to be just a good friend of Kintaro.

Our source close to the couple told us, "Adhyayan recently visited Kangana while she was shooting in Hyderabad. In fact Kangana, who is petrified of dogs, actually bought a puppy because Adhyayan loves them so much from her director Puri Jagannath. The dog, named Pluto, is living with Kangna, and Adhyayan often stops by to dog-sit, while she's away, and the couple is looking forward to being together in the city again soon. Kangana has been in Hyderabad shooting for her first South venture Ek Niranjan opposite Prabhas. The film is being directed by Puri Jagannath. Kangana plays the role of a guitar teacher in the film. After this film Kangana will start shooting for Anees Bazmi’s No Problem where she is paired will be essaying the role of Sushmita Sen’s younger sister. The film stars Akshay Khanna in the lead opposite Kangana. She will also be seen in Milan Luthria's film Once Upon a Time in Mumbai opposite Ajay Devgan."

Kangana and Adhyayan were seen together in 2009's very first hit, Raaz The Mystery Continues where they played on screen lovers too. Reportedly, Adhyayan has just been signed by Anand Mahendroo for the remake of the hit serial Dekh Bhai Dekh in which he will play the lead. In the film Adhyayan essays the role of Shekhar Suman's grown up son, who wants to join the army, and the film is a romantic story. His second film with Vishesh Films, Jashnn is a classic coming of age film, that traces the journey of an aspiring musician. This has him playing the solo lead, and he is paired opposite Anjana Sukhani. Adhyayan is also shooting two additional films this year which are yet to be announced.

Press Conference for "Kites"

First Promo of "Kites"

First Look of "Kites"

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan along with his Mexican co-star Barbara Mori unveiled a teaser trailer and some key art posters of their much talked-about film Kites at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday.

"Kites is a story of love that goes beyond barriers, boundaries and cultures. With an internationally renowned crew and crisp story telling, we have attempted to create a film which we feel has a scope to reach wider world audience and set new benchmarks," said Hrithik.

Also present at the event was Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan who has not only produced the film under his banner Filmkraft Productions but also written it.

"With each of our films we have tired to push the envelope with path breaking technique, storytelling and novel presentation. A film like Kites has never been attempted in India before. This is our attempt to tap the mainstream international audience and we are hopeful that with an able partner like BIG Pictures, we will be able to meet this objective," said Rakesh Roshan.

The film is directed by Anurag Basu who carved a niche for himself with films like Gangster - A Love Story and Life in a Metro.

"I'm glad Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik entrusted me with an opportunity to direct Kites. It has been an enriching experience to shoot the film with an international team across world cites. I'm happy that the film is getting such great exposure at Cannes Film Festival, the world's biggest film market," said Basu.

Kites, which is being marketed extensively by Reliance BIG Pictures, also has Kangana Ranaut, Nick Brown and Kabir Bedi in pivotal roles.

"We are extremely proud to be associated with Filmkraft for marketing and distributing Kites and have put together a diverse team with relevant international experience to take the film to the widest possible international audiences. Cannes 2009 is the beginning of this exciting journey," said Sunir Kheterpal, COO, BIG Pictures.

The film is scheduled for release in the last quarter of 2009.

About the Sensuous Kiss in "Kites"

While shooting a critical sequence in Santa Fe, Babara Mori made her shy co-star Hrithik Roshan discard his desi inhibitions to express love in one Hrithik Roshan of its natural manifestations. The kiss. After Dhoom 2 and the absolutely aesthetic kiss with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik will be seen doing a number of lip-locks with Barbara Mori in his next release, the much-anticipated Kites.

When asked about it Hrithik is amused. "Why are we even talking about kissing? Is that such a big deal? Hasn't our cinema grown up? Yes, there're kissing scenes in the film. But nothing to make me squirm. In fact I'd be more than happy and completely comfortable watching those kissing scenes with my wife, son and parents when the film is released."

Rationalizing the need to look at lip-locking in Bollywood rationally Hrithik argues, "Kites is a love story. It’s about people in love. And what do people in love do to express their mutual feelings? In fact it was Barbara Mori who made me realize how silly we look on screen while shying away from expressing love naturally."

This happened while Hrithik and Barbara were shooting a tough and dangerous action sequence in Santa Fe.

"We were both supposed to jump off from a rooftop at an impossible height. Before we did so our director Anurag Basu suggested I kiss Barbara since we were doing something dead-defying and dangerous and potentially lethal. I reached out and kissed her on the cheeks. Barbara turned around to ask why I had kissed her on the cheek. 'Given the same situation with your real-life wife Sussanne would you kiss her on the cheek?' I was floored by her logic."

The take was repeated. "And this time I kissed her the way real-life couples would in the situation. On the lips," says Hrithik with matter-of-fact directness.

Rumors: Adhayayan Leaves Kangana for Shahana

There are rumors that Adhyayan Suman left Kangana Ranaut after being tired of her behavior and after knowing that she grew close to Barbara Mori's brother Kintaro. Shahana is Adhyayan’s love interest in ‘Jashn’ and the film brought the couple nearer to one another. After the shooting, the duo hangs around and spends quality time with each other. Buzz is that Shahaha once got warming from Mahesh Bhatt as she moves around the set uselessly when she has no scene to perform and distracts Adhayayan’s concentration.
Allthough Adhayayan put the rumors to rest saying that it is too personal to talk about it.
I feel like this rumors are just too useless and it is good that Kangna is making a site soon so that we can hear what she really thinks about all of this.

Kangana Is The Most Costliest Debutante in Tollywood!

The new debutant in Tollywood is the slender beauty Kangana Ranaut who is called as Bollywood bombshell and she is starring with young rebel star Prabhas.

This flick has been titled ‘Ek Niranjan’ and it is directed by Puri Jagannadh. The hot discussion about this movie in film city is that producer Aditya Ram paid a huge price of 1 crore for signing Kangana in his movie.

This has become a sensation across the tinsel town as normal price for the debutants is around 5 to 10 lakhs in Tollywood industry.

Kangana is now becoming a famous name in Bollywood and people are thinking why she was over priced. Let us wait and see what Kangana delivers to that price.

Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori To Attend Cannes

By now its common knowledge that Rakesh Roshan is taking his ambitious project Kites to the prestigious Cannes film festival this year. However, the film won't be screened for the public or the media at Cannes; instead this is just a screening for potential buyers from the West.

Kites is a story of love that goes beyond barriers, boundaries and cultures. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Kangna Ranaut and Latino sensation Barbara Mori. The chemistry between Hrithik and Barbara is said to be among the high points of the film.

Kites is the first film by Filmkraft that has a truly international appeal. Hence, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film at various international platforms. The Kites unit comprising of Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Barbara Mori and director Anurag Basu will be in Cannes from May 14-17. A specially prepared trailer will also be screened to attract potential international buyers.

Indeed, the makers of Kites are going full throttle to ensure that the film gets maximum publicity across various media.

"Kites" Plot

A love story that crosses borders and linguistic barriers, ‘Kites’ is a tale of romance between an Indian guy and a Mexican beauty.
Starring Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in lead roles, the movie is directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Rakesh Roshan. The film has Hrithik playing a man named J, who once used to be a clever, street smart, charming guy, but is now a wanted man. To add to his woes he’s left to die in the scorching heat of the Mexican desert. Only one desire keeps him alive, to find the woman he loves.

That woman is Natasha (Barbara Mori). She is engaged to another man, but that makes no difference to J. If loving her brings down loads of troubles on him, J would happily bear it all.

What is the fate of this love story where the lovers don’t even speak each other’s languages? While she talks in Spanish, he speaks Hindi with a smattering of English.

Kangana Ranaut completes the love triangle by adding another angle to the Hrithik-Barbara love story.

The film has some breath-taking dances from Hrithik, Barbara and Kangana. The choreography in these songs is by Flexy Stu, a renowned American choreographer. For one song shot in Mumbai, Farah Khan did the choreography.

Prabhas Speaks about "Ek Niranjan"

No wonder then, Tollywood heartthrob Prabhas was literally sweating it out when Hyderabad Times caught up with him in between shots of his new film. Considering that the mercury is soaring, isn’t it reason enough for him to take a break? “First the media blames us stars for not doing more films. But when we are shooting you want us to take a break. Not fair!” he laughingly puts it.

Prabhas claims that it takes time for “everything to fall in place” before the actual shoot of a film can commence. “Once the shooting starts we don’t mind whether it is 43 degrees plus or minus 6 degrees, we just keep working,” he says. The actor is known to have travelled in an auto for a recent film role. Has he done that in real life? “Of course! I used to travel in autos and buses during my school and college days,” he replies. Being the scion of an affluent family, wasn’t he pampered? “We were pampered but our family taught us how to lead a balanced lifestyle,” he reasons.

His latest release Billa, the fourth remake of the Bollywood blockbuster Don, has turned out to be a moderate hit here. “We specifically designed Billa as a slick action film and it succeeded,” he says with relish. But didn’t he feel the film went on to be a blockbuster because it had more style than substance?

“Probably, the theme was repetitive, but we gave it our best shot. I also realised that blockbusters can never be made, they just happen,” he reasons. However his dream to share screen space with his uncle, veteran actor Krishnam Raju, was fulfilled. “I’ll always cherish it,” he says.
After playing a social deviant in Billa, Prabhas is now essaying a contrasting role in new film Ek Niranjan. “It’s a different role with lot of responsibility. Kangna Ranaut, my co-actor is a talented actress and great co-star too,” he adds. Does he think that his macho image has confined him to action films.

“My maiden blockbuster Varsham was an intense love story,” he replies. He reiterates that he was always game for variety. “I explored contrasting roles and themes and films like Pournami, Chakram and Bujjigadu added some variety to my career” he opines. But he feels that a couple of solid hits would have given a “fillip to my career.”

While many young actors prefer to flaunt their ‘filmi’ friendships, Prabhas thinks differently. His close friendship with Gopichand and Allu Arjun is kept under wraps. “Friendship is a personal issue and it should remain that way. But we do keep in touch,” he elaborates. He also differs from his peers, by not being a “party animal” and claims to attend only “private dos” of close friends only. A workaholic indeed!

Kangana Gets A New Car

Kangana Ranaut is all set to get herself a hot new set of wheels for herself. It's a vehicle that exudes luxury. Incidentally, her beau Adhyayan Suman, too, has the same car. A source reveals, "Kangana booked the car on her birthday (March 23) but still hasn't recieved it. It's taking a long time as she has requested her lucky number 5 to be a part of the number plate. This is the star's third purchase. She owns two other vehicles. The actress was never a car freak, though. It really is her beau Adhyayan's passion. The small-town girl developed a taste for luxury brands only recently and now that she can afford to splurge, there's no holding her back.

The source continues, "It was after sitting and driving her boyfriend's car that she fell in love with it and decided to buy one of the same make too. She is looking for a white car whereas her beau has a silver one, gifted to him by his parents on his birthday."

Kangana's manager confirms, "I booked the car for her on her birthday."

"Kites" Going To Cannes

A film that holds appeal for international audiences, ‘Kites’ is going to be marketed extensively at the Cannes Film Festival.

Starring Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut, "Kites" has the potential to click with movie buffs the world over, particularly Spaniards. That’s why BIG Pictures is going to market the movie to international buyers and distributors at the 62nd Cannes Film Fest, to be held from May 13 to 24.

The movie will also be promoted to international media via a press conference and a cocktail party at the fest. Reports say the film’s teaser will also be screened on two digital screens flanking the red carpet entrance to the Palais. Normally, only teasers of big-budget Hollywood films are played on the screens. It’s not yet known whether Hrithik, Kangana and Barbara will fly to Cannes for the events. But director Anurag Basu and producer Rakesh Roshan are more likely to be there.

More about Kangana's Blog

Just like when her boyfriend Adhyayan Suman launched his own website a month ago, Kangana Ranaut follows his example by creating her own web and blogging site being launched next month called realkangnaranaut.com.

Besides using the website as a platform to clear rumors about her personal and professional matters, Kangana said that she plans to use it to also catch up with her family, friends and fans.

Kangana was actually not too happy with all that was written about her in the media. She wanted to take on the task of providing all the information about herself.

She will even post personal pictures of her at parties she attends with her friends and at the same time clear confusions like the one about her catfight with Priyanka Chopra.

"Like for instance, Priyanka and I had a fabulous time shooting for 'Fashion', but still there were stories of our catfights or what were not true, so I can post pictures from the set with us bonding to refute such rumors," says Kangana.

According to the sources, Kangana will connect directly to her fans through the website. She will post her day to day activities to inform her fans directly.

Kangana is prompted to establish such connect to avoid any more gossips in her life. According to sources close to the actress, Kangana is tired of giving explanations to the media. Her website will be the direct medium to connect to her fans.

After the success of most of her films like the recent horror-flick 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues' and shooting for her upcoming film 'Kites', Kangana hopes that she will go where no other actress has gone before using her website as a platform.

Kangana also wants to follow stars like Lara Dutta and Kareena Kapoor who had successfully launched their own websites to be able to connect with all their fans across the globe.

Kangana Hangs Out With Kintaro Mori

Kangana Ranaut and Kintaro Mori, brother of her “Kites” co-star Barbara Mori, were spotted having a good time at Priyanka Chopra’s recent bash for Hollywood actor Gerard Butler.

According to sources, Kangana and Kintaro came to the party together and kept to themselves the entire evening. They were in high spirits and even enjoyed themselves on the dance floor.

The friendship between the two started on the sets of “Kites”, where Kintaro used to accompany Barbara.

This is the first time Kangana and Kintaro were spotted together at a party.

Apparently, Kangana’s boyfriend Adhyayan is in Bihar campaigning for his dad Shekhar Suman.

Kintaro Mori is a budding musician and is working on an album for T-Series.

Kangana Denies Rumors About Nude Scene in "Ek Niranjan"

Kangna Ranaut returned to Mumbai from a grueling month-long shooting of a Telugu film to horrifying rumours of how she had done a nude scene down South.

Kangna is enraged. "Nude? I'd never do a nude scene in my entire life even if someone makes me to do it at gun point. I come from a very conservative background. If my parents were to ever see that I've crossed the line of morality, they'd drag me back to Himachal. Yes, I've done aesthetically-shot pictures which reveal my physique. And why not? I've worked really hard on getting my body muscular and toned."

But nudes? "No way. I've never posed in the nude, never will, no matter how right the zeroes on the cheque are. I've an inbuilt censor code."

So how did these rumours of going 'all the way' start? "You tell me. Journalists started calling up my Telugu director Puri Jagannath in Hyderabad while we were shooting. He, poor man, was so scandalized he almost had a heart attack. Puri is one of the most successful and respected filmmakers of Telugu cinema."

Clarifying that there are no nude sequences in the Telugu film Kangna says, "Even the much-hyped 'nude' scene in Raaz 2 was a hoax. I wore a body suit in the bath tub. I don't think taking off all of one's clothes is a cool thing to do."

Kangna is back in Mumbai for a couple of days only for costume and makeup trials for Ekta Kapoor's Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.

"I play the only glamour element in the otherwise-dark film. This would be my most glamorous role. My look has to go from the late 1960s to the 1970s."

Kangna's clothes are being done by Manoshi Nath who did the 'stylized' look on Dibakar Banerjee's Oye Lucky! Luck Oye!

Says Kangna, "The challenge in Ekta's film is to look glamorous without any body exposure. I think it's possible."

Amol Gupte Admires Kangana

Well, Kangana Ranaut has all reasons to be on cloud-nine. There's another addition to her long list of admirers. This time, it's not about love affairs, but someone who loves Kangana's intense talent. Filmmaker Amole Gupte, who's known for his successful stint with TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, agrees that Kangana Ranaut's acting has charmed him immensely. He says, ''I loved Kangana's act in the recent release FASHION. Her portrayal was quite impactful and she carried the nuances of the character very well.''
Looks like Amole Gupte is smitten with Kangana act and it should not be a surprise if he plans to cast her in his next film.

Rumors: Kangana in a Hollywood film

I've been hearing reports about Kangana Ranaut being called by a Hollywood agency in Los Angeles for her to audition for a movie. That is basically not true based on what the reports said. It was told that Kangana will go to Los Angeles next month. She is supposed to start shooting "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai" then so I just don't get it. Then they said she was shooting "Kites" in Finland when she got the message. "Kites" never shot in Finland according to what I know. So she is in no Hollywwood film until she confirms it herself!

Update: "No Problem"

Kangana Ranaut trades suicidal characters for a comic one in Anees Bazmee’s No Problem
In her last chat with us, Kangana Ranaut had confessed that she doesn’t mind being compared to Meena Kumari when playing the depressive diva. However, it seems, in a bid to reinvent and broaden her horizons, she has signed Anees Bazmee’s No Problem, where she will be seen in a comic role. The director confirmed the news, stating that she plays Akshaye Khanna’s love interest in the action comedy.

“Kangana is a very good actress but she has, sadly, only been seen in roles that have required her to look devastated and depressed. I thought this character would be a good change for her as well as the audience. Kangana too, showed immediate interest.” The actress agrees, adding that she is happy to play a character that is a departure from her previous work. “It’s a genre that I personally love and I am glad to be able to do a comedy film with such an established star cast,” she said.

Unwilling to reveal too much too early, Bazmee, who is credited for successful comedies like Singh is Kinng, No Entry and Welcome, said that the winsome actress plays a young, bubbly and romantic girl in the first half while the second half of the film sees her partake in the action that follows. “She wants to do as much action herself as she can but we won’t push her too much and use a duplicate where necessary,” he explains.

The director seems extremely impressed by Ranaut’s histrionics. “She has performed all the characters very well and has improved with every movie. And it’s evident that Kangana puts in a lot of hard work. I have sketched out a strong character for Kangana and I’m sure she will live up to everyone’s expectation,” That’s a lot of confidence, we must say.

Kangana On Her Look For "Once Upon A Time in Mumbai"

Kangana Ranaut plays a character loosely based on 1970s don Haji Mastan’s girlfriend and yesteryear actress Sona in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. And the sexy actress is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that she’s bang on where her look is concerned.

To get into the skin of the character, Kangna has been studying yesteryear actresses in both Bollywood and Hollywood. Not only that, she is said to be working on her look that’ll be inspired by these actresses.

"From Audrey Hepburn to Asha Parekh and from Sophia Loren to Sadhana, I’m trying to get the hang of their style. The character I play is glamorous and strongly influenced by western fashion, so I want a look that’s western but which also suits someone who’s very much here,” reveals Kangna who is cast opposite Ajay Devgan in this film.

Is there one particular look she really likes? “Audrey Hepburn’s! She was a classy dresser back then. I’d love to look like her,” says Kangna. To get this look, apart from long-eyelashes and heavy eyemake-up — quite characteristic of the era — she is planning to stock up on a lot of high-waisted, narrow trousers and scarves. “Also bell-bottoms were big during the 70s, so I am studying the entire timeline of style,” Kangna says. “I want a look of that era which doesn’t look comical today!”

Impressed though she is by the styles back then, Kangna is happy being a today’s girl. “The styles are more practical and fun in our times,” she says. “High bouffants, bell bottoms are things I can’t imagine today without being laughed at.” Would she like any trend revived? “The shirts. The kinds worn back then were very feminine, practical, yet elegant. I’d love to bring them back,” she smiles.
