Adhayan Changes Kangana Music Style

While talking about music, let us tell you about Kangna Ranaut’s new musical beginnings. For a long time her taste in music was Indian classical, ghazals, film songs etc. Much like Rekha was into the ghazals of Mehndi Hasan (and still is), Kangna is an avid Jagjit Singh fan, and like any other die-hard fan she craves to watch his live shows. Now ever since loverboy Adhyayan Suman has come into her life, there’s been a musical turn.

Yeah, he’s been introducing his gal to different genres of western music — from pop, rock, jazz to hip-hop and girl bands. We don’t know which one Ms K is grooving too, but apparently she’s taking a keen interest in Adhyayan’s musical tastes.

Or maybe it is her own roles that are pushing her to a new musical edge. She is doing salsa and hip-hop numbers for Kites with Hrithik Roshan, and being familiar with the music has only made her moves easy. Now of course, an awesome mover like Hrithik can make anyone shake their booty, but you can’t deny that this Kangna-Adhyayan love story is totally upbeat.

Kangana Ranaut Sensuous in "Ek Niranjan"

Kangana Ranaut is at it again! She can’t resist shedding clothes and revealing her sensuous curves, whenever she gets a chance and most importantly, money. Her looks may have a demure sort of appeal but when it comes to doing bold scenes, Kangana Ranaut remains supreme. All her films have love-making sequences but this time round, she is taking a step further, by doing a nude scene.

The actress is currently in Hyderabad shooting for her first Telugu movie, "Ek Niranjan" starring Prabhas and Sonu Sood and directed by Puri Jagannath. According to a source, “Kangana`s role requires her to do a nude scene and she has agreed to do it. No body double will be used for the same. She has been paid a whopping amount for the role."

Kangana always manages to impress so lets see how this turns out

Treat: Video of Kangana on CNN-IBN (November 20, 2008)

Watch Kangna Ranaut On Location on the sets of Raaz -The Mystery Continues, as she talks about the movie, controversies and more.

Update: "Kites"

Sources claim Hrithik Roshan is taking a very active interest in the post production of his home production Kites. The film stars Hrithik along side Spanish starlet Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut and is directed by Anurag Basu. We all know Hrithik started as an assistant director to his filmmaker father Rakesh Roshan and he seems to be using all his experience and expertise for the film’s good.

Reveal sources, “Kites is extremely close to Hrithik’s heart and he is giving it his all he can to ensure it emerges as a great product. Hrithik therefore has been taking deep interest in every single aspect of the making of the film. Now that the shooting of the film is as good as over, the post production work of the film has begun. Hrithik nowadays can be seen at the post production studio where the work on the film is being done. But he is not forcing his views on Basu and only giving his valuable suggestions whenever he feels they are necessary. Apparently he comes at the same time that Anurag Basu comes to the studio and stays there till the very end and then goes back to Hotel JW Marriott in Juhu where he is put up with his wife n kids as his house is being refurbished".

Also it is said that Hrithik is sporting a new look for "Kites" which was seen when he launched the MacroMan Underwear. Sources revealed, “Hrithik is soon going to shoot a special song and dance number for his home production Kites. Though the shoot of the film is over, this is a special number which shall be used extensively to promote the film in India and abroad where it is also going to be released in its English version. For this song, Hrithik is keen on sporting a long hair look. He is playing a Salsa dance instructor in the film and feels this look may be apt for the dance number. But Hrithik is smartly hiding his growing locks by tying all his hair behind and not leaving it open like a typical pony tail the way Big B and SRK did when they sported the same.”

Congratulations Kangana!

I am happy to say that Kangana Ranaut has been nominated at the IIFA Awards 2009 for her striking performance in "Fashion". Amitabh Bachchan gave out all the information and the location for the awards will be in Macau. Kangana competes against Bipasha Basu, Ila Arun, Kirron Kher and Shahana Goswami. Earlier, Kangana had won awards for her performance in "Fashion" at the Stardust Awards and Filmfare Awards. I am very happy for Kangana whether she wins or not because she has now created a niche for herself in Bollywood and her career is looking really bright as she will be seen in "Kites", "Vaada Raha", "Ek Niranjan", "Once Upon A Time in Mumbai" and the recently signed "No Problem".

Kangana bonds with Sushmita

Kangna intends to have a ball on the sets of her first comedy No Problem. “So far I’ve never had fun on the sets. All the character I’ve played have been introverted and troubled. So I’ve been in my shell. During Fashion Madhur Bhandarkar used to scold me for being in a shell all the time. But if I play insecure paranoid characters I can’t be laughing and playing around. But it was the nature of the characters. For Anees Bazmi’s film I’m changing completely. I’m going to organize parties on the sets, constantly crack Santa-Banta jokes and most important of all, I will bond with Sushmita. Hopefully our bonding will last beyond one film.”

After signing a film together, Sushmita Sen has taken the lovely Kangna Ranaut under her wings. Always known to be warm towards her co-stars Sushmita has taken a special fancy to Kangana because of her facial resemblance to Sushmita’s daughter Renee.

Says Kangna, “On the first day that we met we struck a special chord in each other’s hearts. I was standing at a premiere and she came up to me. She held my face in her hands and said I’ve hair exactly like her daughter. And that whenever she saw me she was reminded of her daughter. From that moment onwards we bonded. Luckily I play Sushmita’s sister in the film that we’re doing together. I love calling her Didi.”

Kangna is pleased as hell to be finally doing comedy. “I was really hurt when people said I was destined only to play tragic roles. I wanted to do comedy for the longest time. And that I’ve Sushmita playing my sister in the film is an added bonus. We’ll have a ball playing sisters.”

The film is Anees Bazmi’s comedy No Problem produced by Anil Kapoor.

Says Kangna, “I had decided whenever I do my first comedy it would have to be either with Anees Bazmi or David Dhawan. Everyone thought I was wrong for the part in No Problem. No one was convinced I could do comedy, not after playing all those traumatized roles. But Anilji convinced everyone that I could do it.”

Real Story Behind Flexy Stu's replacement

Anurag Basu’s Kites is certainly one of those films everyone is waiting for with bated breath. Not only because Hrithik Roshan is paired opposite Spanish actress Barbara Mori but also because it’s one of the first few Indian films that is being made in true international style. From the story to the screenplay to the technicians, everything has a global feel. However, even with so many positives, the film has managed to stay in the news for all the wrong reasons. Be it Hrithik’s alleged affair with Barbara Mori, Rakesh Roshan’s spat with cinematographer Bobby Singh, the major losses the movie incurred because of Hurricane Ike in Mexico or the spook fest the cast and crew had to face while shooting in Santa Fe (New Mexico).

The ride has not been easy. And well, that’s definitely not all. There’s more to add to the already very long list of mishaps.
According to the latest buzz, Flexy Stu, the international choreographer who was supposed to choreograph the Salsa routines in the movie has been replaced by Indian Salsa expert Sandip Soparkar, following a major fight with Roshan junior.
Not too long ago Hrithik had roped in US-based Flexy Stu for a special song in Kites.
Hrithik was leaving no stone unturned in order to make his home production bigger and better. And Stu fitted the bill perfectly as both of them had shared a great rapport since the time the former choreographed Hrithik’s steps for a biscuit commercial. Subsequently, it was also said, Hrithik was so happy with Stu’s work that he recommended him for his other endorsements as well.

Amidst all this, the news of Hrithik and Flexy’s fall-out naturally came as quite a surprise. Nevertheless, if insiders are to be believed, they have had such a huge argument that the damage is irreparable. “Stu had already worked with Hrithik before so everybody thought they would create magic. Everything seemed fine initially but things started going wrong when Flexy took charge of a rather complicated Salsa song sequence. Half-way through it, Flexy wasn’t able to live up to Hrithik’s expectations.

They tried various ways to sort things out as Stu had completed major parts of the choreography, but things only worsened. Hrithik and Stu ended up having a huge fight. Because of their differences of opinions, Stu was logically asked to leave,” adds the source.
As they say, one person’s loss is another person’s gain. And that’s how Sandip Soparkar stepped in. According to a unit member, it was Sunaina Roshan who recommended Sandip’s name.

Her reason for suggesting his name was that in India, one could only look up to Sandip for good Salsa. Our informer also maintains that Rakesh Roshan was very pleased with Sunaina’s choice and immediately handed over the responsibility of choreographing the other dance sequences to Sandip.
We tried contacting Hrithik and Flexy to get a confirmation on the story but both remained unavailable for comment. Although when we contacted Sandip he was unexpectedly very forthcoming about the situation. He openly admitted to having replaced Stu.

“Working on Kites has been no less than a roller-coaster ride. Sunaina was the person who considered me for this lifetime opportunity. Teaching Hrithik and Kangna (Ranaut) to dance to Salsa was quite an experience as a particular song was half done by Flexy Stu and I had to adapt the same style to avoid patchy work,” he paused and continued.
“As a choreographer it was quite a task because each individual has different perspectives even though the dance form is Salsa. But it was great as Hrithik is known for his fantastic dancing skills and Kangna for her hard work. I don’t think everyone gets such opportunities in life and I guess God has been extremely kind to me,” added Sandip.
